Buy $20 Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle (NGC/PCGS MS-63) Random Date

Here is a great chance to obtain a MS63 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle (common dates), certified and graded by either PCGS or NGC. The Professional Coin Grading Service and Numismatic Guaranty Corporation are the two largest third party con grading services in the world. These Mint State $20 Gold Pieces are common date coins, selected randomly from available inventory.

The Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is the product of President Theodore Roosevelt's desire to beautify U.S. currency. He charged famous sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens with the task of redesigning every U.S. coin denomination, but the artist succumbed to cancer after he had produced the new double eagle and some preliminary designs for the eagle.

The Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is considered by many to be the most beautiful U.S. coin design in history. The obverse features Lady Liberty striding forward, the torch of Freedom held high. Behind her rises the dawn of a new age in America, with the U.S. Capitol seen in the background. The reverse shows an American Bald Eagle flying high above a rising sun, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and denomination of Twenty Dollars emblazoned across the top of the coin.

Millions of double eagles were melted in the 1930s, after private ownership of monetary gold was outlawed in the U.S. under Executive Order 6102 also known as The Gold Confiscation Act. Many mint State examples survived this confiscation of gold coins in European bank vaults, coin collections, and unknown hoards.

Coin date and grading service varies and will be randomly chosen from available inventory.
