A mintage of barely one million coins makes the 1892 Morgan dollar a semi-key date of the series, but nowhere near the level of the 1893 or 1894 Morgan dollars from the Philadelphia Mint.
The Value of an 1892 Morgan Dollar
The low mintage and variable strike on the 1892 makes it a conditional rarity in the series. Circulated grades are somewhat scarce. Mint State coins with a sharp strike and good luster are very few and far between.
This is a mintage where the majority of the coins are very unattractive, marred with flat strikes, poor luster, and numerous bag marks.
