The Value of A 1934-D Buffalo Nickel
The 1934-D Buffalo nickel is not that difficult to find in circulated grades, but ranks as one of the rare Buffalo nickel dates from the 1930s. Once again, poor strikes that let planchet damage show through hobbles any 1934-D Buffalo nickel from achieving a high Mint State grade. Most will see softness and roughness on the high points of the chief’s hair and the horn of the bison, where the coins were not struck with enough pressure for the metal to flow into those parts of the dies.
