The Value of A 1923 Buffalo Nickel
There were no nickels at all produced at any of the US Mints in 1922, so when demand recovered in 1923, business was brisk. The 1923 Buffalo nickel struck at the Philadelphia Mint usually had a sharp, full strike. It is somewhat common in circulated grades, with supply dropping off at MS64. Gem uncirculated examples are very scarce.
