In recent years, the Canadian Silver Maple has challenged the American Silver Eagle as the world's most popular silver bullion coin.

Each of these coins contains 1 troy oz of pure silver. Unlike most of its competitors, the Silver Maple Leaf is struck from .9999 fine silver. That means it is 99.99% pure.

As legal tender, the coin's face value is 5 Dollars. Each coin is Brilliant Uncirculated (BU).

Walter Ott's classic maple leaf design graces the reverse of the coin, shown in incredible detail. "CANADA" runs along the top rim, indicating the issuing country. The purity "9999" is found on both sides of the leaf near the middle of the design. Along the bottom rim, the weight and composition are inscribed, reading "FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR."

On the obverse, the Susanna Blunt portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is used. The queen faces right and wears a pearl necklace. The denomination "5 DOLLARS" and the year of issue "2020" are both placed along the bottom rim beneath the truncation of the portrait. The coin has a reeded edge design.
