This impressive silver medallion is struck from .999 fine silver for a total of 10 troy ounces of pure silver by weight. It carries no legal tender denomination but is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Only 2,000 of these pieces will be minted in total, making them desirable collectibles.
The obverse features an impressive work of art that uses characters from the Korean alphabet to spell out the country's official name, Republic of Korea, in the shape of South Korea's borders. Purity specifications are inscribed at the bottom rim and surrounded by a tiger stripe pattern.
The reverse of the medallion shows a highly detailed image of an adult tiger prepared to pounce. An icy mountainside fills the background while a pool of water is placed in the foreground. The series name "KOREAN TIGER" is inscribed along the rim to the left, while the weight "10oz" and the year-date "2018" are placed nearby.
