Miley Busiek's family of eagles design graces the reverse. A mother eagle cares for her eaglets in a nest as her mate returns carrying an olive branch. The issuing country "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" curls along the top rim. On either side of the nest, the mottoes "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST" are inscribed. The bottom rim contains the inscriptions "1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD~25 DOLLARS," indicating the weight and denomination. The edge of the coin uses a reeded design.
