The IZH 8 1 oz Silver Coin is one of the five coins in the New Zealand Mint's Great Motorcycles of the 1930's Series. The colored coin collection to features classic 1930's motorcycles in one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver. It highlights bikes from a historical era for the machine, and for manufacturers such as IZH, BSA, Ariel, Matchless and Brough Superior.

In a proof-like finish, the IZH 8 Coin carries a $2 denomination, and had a mintage limited to only 6,000 coins. It was produced in 2007, and features the 1938 IZH 8 model motorcycle. IZH was a well-known weapons manufacturer before it began building motorcycles. During the Soviet era the company became the dominant Russian motorcycle factory. During the time Soviet motorcycle production was second only to Japan, making IZH one of the world's best factories.

The obverse of the coin features the 1938 IZH 8 motorcycle in full color against a frosted background. The outer edge of the coin is struck to resemble tire treads, and along the upper edge reads, "Great Motorcycles of the 30's." Beneath the bike are the company's logo and the model type.

The reverse shows Raphael Maklouf's design of Queen Elizabeth II, the mint year of 2007 and the denomination of $2.
