The largest of the Atlantic marlins and one of the largest fish in the sea, the Blue Marlin is prized among sport fishermen as one of the most challenging game fish. Easily identified by its large dorsal fin and swordlike upper jaw, the Blue Marlin fears little in the ocean other than orcas or large sharks such as the Mako and Great White.

This gorgeous colorized proof silver round is struck from .999 fine silver, showing an adult Blue Marlin exploding out of the water as it slashes through a school of panicking dorado. Three of the hapless fish have fallen to the Marlin's blade, while the others flee. Based on original Guy Harvey© artwork painted in 2001, the Blue Marlin and Doradoes are both rendered in realistic colors against a silver island backdrop.
