Classic motorcycle enthusiasts are sure to get a kick(start) from the 1930 BSA Sloper Colorized 1 oz Silver Coin from the New Zealand Mint. Part of their "Great Motorcycles of the 1930s" coin set from 2007, this beautiful coin features an exactingly detailed color image of the famous BSA 1930 Sloper motorcycle. Struck from one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver, it comes sealed in a color coin card with a photo of the Sloper used in the coin's design.

The reverse of this coin shows a sporty green and black 1930 Sloper, with the BSA logo prominently displayed underneath and a "motorcycle tread" pattern along the border. The obverse features the Raphael Maklouf image of Elizabeth II, with the year date 2007 and the face value of $2.

A very reliable bike, the Sloper was introduced in 1927, and played a major influence on contemporary motorcycle design. The saddle tank mounted above the lightweight frame let the seat position be lowered. This lowered the center of gravity, improving handling. The Sloper got its name from the forward-sloped engine, which allowed a lower frame. The 1930 model is distinctive for the chrome enhancements over the previous models.
